United 2026: US, Canada and Mexico’s World Cup bid

If the joint bid – officially named United 2026 – succeeds, it would be the first time the tournament is hosted in three different countries.

There are two bids left in the running to choose the host nation for the 2026 World Cup; one is Morocco’s, the other is an unusual joint bid submitted by three countries.

If the joint US, Canada and Mexico bid wins, it will be the first time the World Cup is hosted in three different countries.

It is an ambitious plan, but will it work?
