South Korea hopes that Washington’s meeting with Pyongyang will open the way to end the Korean War.
South Korea is hoping that a summit between the US and North Korea in Singapore could pave the way for a peace treaty to formally end the Korean War.
The two Koreas are still technically at war, with only an armistice signed in 1953 ending hostilities.
