UK: Tens of thousands march to mark 100 years of women’s suffrage
The centennial is not just a celebration of the suffrage movement, but is being used to highlight and organise for modern women’s political causes, as well.

The suffragette movement campaigned for decades for women’s democratic rights – using both protest and direct action. Sunday’s event was a reminder of contemporary struggles, too.
