Canada and Mexico denounce US steel, aluminium tariffs

North America moves closer to a trade war as Canada and Mexico have both announced retaliatory measures in response to Donald Trump’s new tariffs.

US trade partners around the world have denounced the new tariffs imposed on steel and aluminium imports.

Reaction to the move has been particularly strong in Canada and Mexico, US’ partners in NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement.
