Kenya: Thousands of hectares of farmland destroyed by floods
Extensive flooding has destroyed an area larger than New York City, displacing more than 260,000 people, many of whom depended on the land for survival.
Kenya‘s floods have destroyed at least 8,000 hectares of farming land, that is an area larger than New York City, and displaced more than 260,000 people.
There appears to be no end in sight to the humanitarian crisis as the rains continue.
Al Jazeera’s Andrew Simmons has travelled to Kilifi County to meet with hundreds of farmers who lost their land to the Sabaki river.
