Lebanon parliamentary elections 2018: last day of campaigning

As Lebanon’s parliamentary campaigns enter their final sprint, the country remains divided along sectarian lines, lines exploited and reinforced by competing regional powers.

Citizens in Lebanon will cast their ballots on Sunday in the parliamentary elections.

It’s likely regional players Iran and Saudi Arabia will be closely monitoring the outcome of the vote.

As the rift between the two powers deepens, Lebanon remains caught in the middle.
