UN warns of intensified violence in northern Myanmar

A controversial humanitarian aid group, Free Burma Rangers, says it is planning to increase its relief missions in Myanmar with the help of some unlikely volunteers from Iraq.

The United Nations has warned that the violence against ethnic minorities in Myanmar is intensifying.

Attention has been focused on the Rohingya, but other groups such as the Karen, are suffering too.

One aid group is increasing its efforts to help people, and has brought back some volunteers from Iraq.
