Turkish President Erdogan’s UK visit met with protests

UK’s Prime Minister Theresa May is eager to strike a post-Brexit free trade deal with Turkey.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan began his three-day official visit to the United Kingdom on Sunday.

The purpose of the trip was mainly trade talks – with the UK looking for more international deals ahead of leaving the European Union.

But issues in Gaza and back home in Turkey took over the day’s agenda.

Al Jazeera’s Jonah Hull reports from London.
