As the search for survivors of a flood caused by a burst dam in Kenya’s Rift Valley continues, the public prosecutor is launching an investigation into the disaster that has left at least 50 dead and hundreds homeless.

But the interior ministry has told Al Jazeera the dam’s operation was entirely legal.
All this, as rescuers search for survivors.
