Germany’s Merkel set for challenges in her fourth term

The German Chancellor has welcomed the decision by the Social Democrats to join a grand coalition that will see her sworn in next week for a fourth term. It ends almost six months of uncertainty over whether Angela Merkel would be able to form a government.

But her troubles are far from over.
