Slums in Argentina get their own TV news hour

Slum World TV, a programme made for, and by, some of the 700,000 people living in Buenos Aires slums, is attempting to show the lives of some of Argentina’s most vulnerable.

Slums in Argentina‘s capital Buenos Aires now have their own news hour.

A news programme has launched, made for, and by people, from the shanty towns.

Covering everything from discrimination to drug trafficking to culture, its young anchors hope to shed light on what life is really like.
