Colombia tightens borders as Venezuela crisis worsens
Colombia’s new border controls are making it more difficult for Venezuelans to flee the misery in their country in search of a better life.
Colombia has deployed the military and stepped up border controls, to help combat the number of people trying to cross illegally from Venezuela.
They are fleeing an economic crisis, which has led to soaring inflation and shortages of food and medicine.
Al Jazeera’s Alessandro Rampietti reports from Cucuta, Colombia.
