Tourist bus bombed in Egypt near Giza Pyramids

Within hours of the bombing, the Egyptian government says it killed 40 ‘suspected militants’ responsible for the roadside bomb that destroyed the bus.

A roadside bomb near Cairo has destroyed a bus carrying 14 Vietnamese tourists.

The government has posted the photos of 30 “suspected militants” killed by security forces in the Giza district and said an additional 10 were killed in raids in the north of the Sinai Peninsula, claiming they had been planning attacks on tourists and state institutions.

However, the attack on the tourism industry, upon which the Egyptian economy depends, has some analysts concerned.
