Greece: Thousands of asylum seekers enduring winter in tents

The asylum seekers living in tents on a Greek island await arrangements by the government for them.

Thousands of asylum seekers in Greece, living in tents on one of the Aegean Islands, are enduring another winter without heat or running water as there is no space at the official camp that is supposed to house them.

They are compelled to continue waiting in the cold until the government makes some arrangement for them to live.

Al Jazeera’s John Psaropoulos reports from Samos.
