Trump fighting to deport some Vietnamese refugees

US government trying to deport Vietnamese refugees who arrived before 1995 and have criminal convictions in the US.

The US Department of State says it is planning to re-negotiate a deal that, until now, has prevented the repatriation of Vietnamese citizens who arrived in the US prior to 1995 and subsequently were convicted of crimes.

The majority of that group are refugees who fled after the Vietnam war.
