Rain brings misery to caravan migrants camped in Tijuana

During the night, many refused to get on government buses, moving them to a covered shelter, in order to stay together.

Rain is bringing more misery to the migrant caravan camping on the US-Mexico border.

They are part of a large group of people fleeing violence and poverty in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

Despite government buses offering to take them to covered shelters, most did not want to go, willing to suffer side by side, for what they believe to be their best chance for asylum in the United States.

Al Jazeera’s Heidi Zhou-Castro reports from Tijuana.
