Germany’s Bavaria election: Immigration will be key issue
The governing party is struggling to prevent the anti-immigrant AfD from gaining power.
Bavaria is one of Germany’s richest states and also one of its most socially conservative.
It’s been governed by Angela Merkel’s sister party, the Christian Social Union, for much of the past 60 years but on Sunday voters will elect a new Parliament.
One of the main issues has been immigration.
