Baghdad-Fallujah train resumes after ISIL is defeated

The railroad, a sign of life returning to normal, will bring economic benefit to Iraqis after the removal of ISIL.

Trains stopped running between the cities of Baghdad and Fallujah when the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) overran much of western Iraq in 2014.

A year ago, the government declared the group defeated and the rail link between the two cities has been reestablished.
