Saudi Arabia bars Palestinians in Jordan from Umrah and Hajj

Umrah and Hajj tour agents say Riyadh has stopped issuing visas to Palestinians who hold temporary Jordanian passports.

Palestinians in Jordan, holders of temporary Jordanian passports, say they are being prevented from travelling to Saudi Arabia to perform Muslim holy rites.

The Saudi Arabian embassy in Amman has refused to comment.

Palestinians living in Jordan say Saudi Arabia is allowing politics to taint rituals which should be sacred.
