UNRWA to cut jobs after US axes $300m in funding

The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees says it will cut more than 250 jobs in West Bank and Gaza due to lack of funds.

The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees has announced it will cut more than 250 jobs in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip after the United States slashed $300m in funding.

More than half of Gaza’s population is dependent upon aid from UNRWA.
