UK celebrates 70 years of National Health Service

The National Health Service was nothing short of a revolution. It provided universal healthcare for Britain’s post-war population.

On Thursday, the UK‘s National Health Service will celebrate its 70th anniversary.

It guarantees free access to treatment, regardless of a person’s income or status, and became a model much admired around the world.
