Nakba 70 years on: Palestinians dream of returning home

As Palestinians remember the 70th anniversary of their exodus, the so-called ‘right of return’ seems elusive, and yet that deep-seeded desire fuels their hope.

Palestinians who lived through Nakba, or “catastrophe”, thought their displacement would only be temporary.

Generations are coming to terms with the fact they may never go home.
