India court to hear petition challenging Rohingya deportation

India’s Supreme Court is set to hear a case by lawyers challenging a government decision to deport 40,000 Rohingya.

Lawyers are taking the case on behalf of two Rohingya refugees living in Delhi who fled Rakhine state.

The Rohingya are a majority-Muslim persecuted minority who have been fleeing violence in Myanmar.
