An independent commission is due to release a report into violence in 2012 that killed more than 100 people and displaced 140,000 others in Myanmar‘s western Rakhine State.

The advisory body led by Kofi Annan, the former UN secretary-general, was appointed to look into reconciling the conflict between Buddhist and Muslim communities.

But heightened tension is complicating matters.
