Hezbollah’s Syria offensive on agenda of Lebanon-US talks

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri is due to meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington, DC on Tuesday.

 

One of the main issues they are expected to discuss is Hezbollah, an armed political group that the US considers “a terrorist organisation”.

 

The Lebanese group is currently in a joint offensive with the Syrian army to push fighters from the Syrian armed group Jabhat Fatah al-Sham out of a bordering region.
