In a phone call, the president stressed the need for unity in the region. But earlier on Tuesday, he appeared to support the isolation of Qatar in a series of tweets.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Adel al Jubeir said Doha must stop supporting “extremist” groups and change its policies. Qatar has firmly rejected the accusations against it.
