Brexit: UK, EU launch negotiations in Brussels

Britain and the European Union have started formal negotiations over how the UK will leave the bloc and the consequences of the move.

 

The talks, which both sides have promised will be transparent, started a year after British voters chose to withdraw from the EU in a referendum.
