South Korea’s president calls for $10bn to tackle unemployment

Moon Jae-In, South Korea’s new president, has urged parliament to add $10bn to the budget to tackle unemployment and avert an economic crisis.

He made the comments in his first state of the nation address since taking office a month ago.

With unemployment at a seven-year high, he has made job creation a priority.
