UK elections see an increase in youth turning out to vote

Young people in the UK are most concerned about Brexit and the rising cost of living, so they turned out in record numbers to make their voices heard.

Last week’s general election in the UK saw a 30 percent increase in the number of young people turning out to vote.

Youth were encouraged by the steps some parties took to put in place policies and campaign pledges that addressed their concerns, the most important of which were Brexit and the rising cost of living.
