UK police on Tuesday raised the death toll in an apparent suicide bomb blast at an Ariana Grande concert attended by thousands of young fans in Manchester, northern England, to at least 22 people, reiterating that they were treating it a “terrorist incident”.

Children were among those confirmed dead in Monday night’s explosion at Manchester Arena, which also left at least 59 injured.

Police believe the explosion was caused by one man carrying an improvised explosive device. That man was killed as he detonated the device, police said.
