South Africans in the city of Durban are accusing oil and chemical factories near their homes of being behind frequent cases of cancer, asthma and other illnesses.

People living along the coast in the South African city of Durban have long complained about the effects of toxic industrial pollution.

 

But they are now stepping up their criticism, accusing oil and chemical factories near their homes of being behind frequent cases of cancer, asthma and other illnesses.
