Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has taken his campaign for sweeping constitutional changes to the country’s southeast.

Diyarbakir is a stronghold of the pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party, which opposes the plan to expand Erdogan’s powers.

But Erdogan is promising to bolster the area’s economy in return for a “Yes” vote.
