Niger’s Diffa province bans motorbikes after attacks

Motorcycles are being banned in Niger’s southeastern Diffa province after a surge in drive-by attacks by the armed group Boko Haram.

The order is likely to cause problems for thousands of people whose businesses rely on them.

Motorbikes are Diffa’s most common means of transportation.
