China faces US pressure to isolate North Korea
The US wants China to punish North Korea by cutting all economic ties for its continuing missile tests.
North Korea’s legislative assembly will hold a rare meeting on Tuesday in advance of celebrations marking the birth of the country’s founder, Kim II-sung.
The meeting comes amid growing tensions with US warships heading towards the Korean Peninsula to deter North Korea from any further missile or nuclear tests.
