US-Turkey relations strained over US’s support of YPG

Speaking on an official visit to Turkey, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said his nation is united with Turkey in the fight against ISIL in Syria.

Tillerson acknowledged that the US has faced difficult choices.

Relations between the two countries have been strained over American support for Kurdish fighters in Syria.
