Japanese swordsmith looks to preserve craft

Swords have been a part of Japanese culture for thousands of years.

During the US occupation at the end of World War II, making and possessing swords was banned and some of the ancient tradition was lost.

Al Jazeera spoke to one Japanese swordsmith determined to preserve the quality and history around the craft.
