Bangladesh: Rohingya refugees are being trained to save lives

Many refugees aren’t able to travel the significant distances from their camps to medical facilities, so an Australian organisation is training some Rohingya to provide basic medical services to their fellow refugees.

Aid organisations are struggling to provide humanitarian assistance to more than 625,000 Rohingya refugees who have fled the military crackdown in Myanmar.

A growing number of refugees being trained basic medical and rescue skills by the Australian voluntary organisation, Backpacker Medics Disaster Response Group.
