France’s Macron seeks to mend ties with Africa

French President Emmanuel Macron says he wants to transform his country’s strained relationship with Africa. The comments come as he begins a four-day visit to the continent.

France is often criticised for its colonisation of some African nations, but Macron wants to improve his country’s ties to Africa.
