Larry Nassar, a former US Olympic team doctor, has been convicted of sexually abusing young female athletes in his care.
He worked for USA Gymnastics, the organisation that prepares gymnasts to compete in the Olympics.
Nassar faces additional charges, including possession of child pornography.
He faces a possible minimum of 40 years in prison. A judge will decide his sentence in January.
It’s the latest in a series of cases of sexual misconduct that has spanned the world of US sports, entertainment, journalism and politics. USA Gymnastics has received sexual misconduct complaints against 54 coaches as well but has not released them.
