The street artist Banksy has marked the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, that led to the creation of Israel, in his own unique way.

Banksy, who is renowned for portraying political messages through his art around the world, set up a satirical event that emulated a British street party in the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem.

The event had young Palestinian refugees as guests of honour, which appeared to be indirect criticism of the British support for the Jewish state in Palestine, which resulted in the mass displacement of Palestinians.

Al Jazeera’s Harry Fawcett reports from the event in Bethlehem.
