Pentagon investigates US soldier deaths in Niger
At least five Nigerian and four US soldiers were killed in an ambush on a joint patrol in southwest Niger earlier this month.

There are about 1,000 US troops in the country, helping local forces defeat ISIL-linked fighters.
The Pentagon is still trying to figure out who is behind the deadly ambush.
