
Israel’s expansion of Gaza fishing zone fails to ease concerns
Israel’s blockade has caused a massive unemployment crisis in Gaza that has forced many to resort to fishing as a means to survive.
Israel is temporarily expanding the waters off Gaza that Palestinian fishermen are allowed to use. The zone will grow by about six kilometres for a two-month period.
But the fishermen say it will do little to improve their meagre incomes.
