What will happen to refugees after Australia closes Manus camp?
PNG’s Prime Minister Peter O’Neill told Al Jazeera he is in talks with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to assist in managing the well-being of refugees left behind after the closure of the camp.
It is not known who will provide financial assistance to refugees forced out of Australia’s Manus Island when it closes at the end of October.
Arrangements are still being worked out between Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Australia.
