Barack Obama and Mitt Romney were facing each other in the first US presidential debate. Do voters now have a clear choice? What are the policy differences?
The US economy dominated the first presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
After the carefully-controlled messages delivered during their party conventions, the event in Denver provided the first opportunity for the rival candidates to challenge each other’s policies.
Health care and education also featured in a debate that focused purely on domestic issues.
On this special edition of Inside Story US 2012, we will bring you the hightlights from the debate. With me to discuss the performances of the presidential rivals is Ryan Grim, the Washington bureau chief for the Huffington Post.
