In Kandahar, Afghanistan, the city’s only hospital is struggling. Four years ago, only 10 per cent of the population could get access to basic medical assistance.

Today, Afghanistan’s public health ministry says 65 per cent of the population receives basic healthcare.
 
But, as Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from Mirwais hospital, the improvements are far from enough.
