For thousands of displaced civilians who have escaped fighting in Pakistan’s Swat valley, the coming summer months are unlikely to ease their suffering.

In a refugee camp in Mardan district temperatures are already 45 degrees Celsius. In the mountains of Swat the average is 25 degrees.
