Three Sri Lankan physicians hailed as heroes for providing the only form of medical care inside the war zone have been detained. Sathiyamoorthy, Varatharajah and Shanmugarajah gave witness reports from hospitals and makeshift medical centres. They risked their lives working under fire in conditions described as hell on earth.
