A former Tamil Tiger separatist has told Sri Lankan state television that the Tamil fighters have killed hundreds of civilians as they tried to flee the northeastern war zone.
The man, known as Daya Master, alleges Tiger fighters have grown increasingly desperate as the military closes in and are forcefully recruiting children as young as 13.
The claims have not been independently verified.
