Russia officially recognised the breakaway Georgian province of Abkhazia as an independent state last year, but its people are divided.
A mix of ethnic Georgians and Russians, many Abkhazians still want to be governed by Georgia, but physical as well as bureaucratic walls are being built to keep them apart.
