In August, US air raids in Herat province drew criticism from the Afghan government and the UN, who said 90 civilians had been killed. The US said 30 people died.

President Hamid Karzai visited the area, promising justice and assistance. But as Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr finds on returning to the village, people are still waiting for help.
